May 19 - wow !

May 19, 2014 - wow over a year ago. Amazing how time flies and yes I'm still here. I took time out - time out to reflect, time out just be, time out from so many things to do something for me.

During that time I still played so enjoy....

Alcohol Ink Key Chain - this was made for my husband. I had taken Anne Marie Desaulnier's class at Beadfx http://www.beadfx.com/classes/class_show.php?class_id=205 and Alcohol Inks (AI) has become my latest addiction.

It was almost the end of my shift, in fact I only had 15 minutes left and I was restocking the Sterling Silver. I pulled out the tray with the hearts and suddenly I heard John Legend's song " All Of Me" playing in my head. I'm a member of the George Brown College alumni and recently I got the opportunity to exhibit my work, along with top industry partners at  Fashionworks14 http://www.georgebrown.ca/fashionworks/. It was a wonderful evening to chat with the Fashion Management students, faculty and other members of the alumni.


This year's theme was The Great Gatsby and I made several pieces to represent my interpretation of it. It was indeed an honour to be there and the pleasure is mine to wish this year's graduated Fashion Management Students continued success in all their future endeavors.
