This lady hit the nail on the head and I loved it because I felt the same way. She mentioned that " A woman's history is in her jewelry" and I smiled when I heard it. I told her that my oldest piece of jewelry is a gold crucifix from my christening (when I was an infant). A crucifix I passed on to my son at his christening.
Each piece tells a story of my history - a story of my mood, a feeling of nostalgia perhaps and each technique tells of another stage in my creative development. So yes lady you hit the nail on the head - our (guys included) history is in our jewelry.
